Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord GOD, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

My Daily Walk & Fasting
This blog will have most of my new writings on my faith and what HE is teaching me. In a couple of days I will be going on a 21 Day Fast (joining some family members in their church's fast) and going to be giving up a few things...so those of you who are my prayer warrior's please be praying right along with me as I do this.
I will be journaling my Fast and going through the books of Psalms and the New Testament and will try to post on "My Daily Walk" page throughout the weeks as I go through this fast.
The 21 Day Fast starts this Wednesday, Jan. 5th, 2011. I wanted to do this to find where God wants me this year. I will be searching for answers to many aspects of my life, my marriage, my children, my career, what I am to give up and what I am to hold on to.
In fasting, I will be giving up: All meats(no animals of anykind!!), caffiene drinks(including starbucks!! and hot chocolates), and all fast foods & processed foods.
I will drink water and herbal teas only. I will eat only once a day vegetables, fruits, and some soup broth, rice or beans and to help sustain my blood sugar as I am hypoglycemic I will eat peanut butter on crackers at bedtime and at lunch time as will need the protein to help regulate my sugars.
So today I am going to enjoy my last cup of hot chocolate *sad face* and I will do this!!!! Life can only get better by obeying my Father and doing HIS will, not mine...for my way never works as I've proven to myself over and over.
Please pray for me!! And I will be praying for each of you also going through this 21 Day Fast.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's
My kids are home on their christmas break starting today. I am proud of our daughter, who struggled tremendously through this semester at school, as she managed to pull up all of her grades but one!! Next semester will be better as we have her enrolled now at the Academy instead of at the high school so the class sizes are smaller and she will get more help with those classes she really struggles in.
Our son passed all of his classes with mostly A's and B's and came home last night to tell us he is going to be part of the Polar Bear Plunge 2011, it will be about a 40 minute drive south of our home this coming January!! He is going to plunge into some very icy water!! It is all for a good cause at it supports the Special Olympics. So proud of him!!!
I have moved into a new position at work and loving it, especially my new hours as I get home by 530pm instead of 8pm like I use to. More time with my kids and husband now! More time to cook for my family and be a mom and wife!! I am back to writing again after a season off. God has given me the strength to get through a very tough time within my marriage and He is always there lifting me up, pulling me through, and providing me the comfort and love I need.
My husband is still with us and we will be celebrating the christmas holidays here at our house. He is still in my prayers, and I thank all the prayer warriors who have prayed for our marriage and us as a family, for without your prayers things would not be as calm as they are now. We are taking it a day at a time, for it is all our Father asks of us anyways. Today has enough worries of its' own, let tomorrow worry about itself.
And finally, I added a new page to my blog titled, "Daily Walk Chronicles"---even though I won't post to it daily as not enough hours in the day for everything I will post to it frequently as it is my page sharing my own daily bible study and what HE has been teaching me.
Praise be to our Heavenly Father, watch over us always
In His Name, Amen

Lies Women Believe and....
Galatians 5:1 "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
Lies I Believed:
- God doesn't love me because my marriage is failing
- God should fix my marriage
- I'm not worth anything to my husband or anyone else
- I have my rights, don't I?
- God wouldn't have let me suffer the things I've endured in my life and in this marriage
- I don't have enough hours in the day to do everything I need to accomplish
- That my job/career is required
- Divorce is better than staying in a bad marriage
- I should be able to change him
- All children go through a rebellious stage
- It is up to us to determine how many children we have
Amazing how many lies us women can believe about our lives, our children, our marriages, and our careers isn't it? I read "Lies Women Believe & the Truth that sets them free" by: Nancy Leigh DeMoss. I highly recommend this book for any of you ladies struggling in your marriages, your job/careers, or life in general.
Now let me share some verses that helped me move beyond the "pity me party" and into a state of being where GOD brings me into line with His way of thinking and doing things.
Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (His way is easier!!!)
James 5:19-20 "If one of you should wander from the truth and someone bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins."
- Psalm 119:68, Psalm 136:1 (God is good)
- Romans 8:32, Romans 8:38-39 (God loves me and wants me to have His best)
- Ephesians 1:4-6 (I am complete and accepted)
- Psalm 23:1 (God is enough)
- Isaiah 28:16 (God can be trusted)
- Isaiah 46:10 (God doesn't make mistakes)
- 2 Corinthians 12:9 (Gods grace is sufficient for me)
- 1 John 1:7 (The blood of Christ is sufficient to cover all my sins)
- Romans 6:6-7 (The cross of Christ is sufficient to conquer my sinful flesh)
- 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (My past does not have to plague me)
- Psalm 19:7, Psalm 119:105 (Gods word is sufficient to lead me)
- Philippians 2:13 (God works in you)
3 Things You Can Do to Remove the Lies from Your Life:
- Identify the areas of your sinful behavior
- Identify the lies at the root of that sinful behavior
- Replace each of these lies with Truth (Gods Word)

A Little Change To Things
I've not written much this past year so please accept my apologies as I reconnect with my Savior. He is amazing!!
There are a few small changes to my blog:
The color scheme is different again as when I checked it a few weeks back I noticed some of my stuff was not up so hope you enjoy the new look.
To the right you will find all the links to my pages as well as to some of my family's and just some cool blogs and sites I enjoy following which belong to friends, pastor's and such.
I hope you will all keep me in your prayers as I am still in a huge spiritual battle right now...last year I nearly lost myself to the enemy and allowed my hurt and anger and confusion inside my marriage pull me away from God. I am so thankful that HE chose to stick to me like glue even as I floundered around asking what on earth is going on.
Stay tuned as starting soon I will be continuing to post to my blog pages and share what my Almighty Savior has shared with me, shown me and impressed upon my heart.
God Bless to all

4 Stepping Stones - WDJD
W = Would you consider yourself a good person?
D = Do you think you've kept all 10 Commandments, Laws and Decrees GOD gave us?
J = On Judgement Day if GOD judges you with HIS law will you be found innocent or guilty?
D = Destiny "Will you go to Heaven or Hell?"
We are all called to save the lost by bringing them to Christ, but first we really should get to know them and become a part of their lives, not just a silent person who nods or says Hi once in awhile but to truly know the real person. Be a good neighbor first, invite them to dinner. Share your back deck for a great conversation spot. Bake them cookies!! Then as your relationship blooms into friendship and those delightful evenings spent hanging out in the lawn chairs or on your back decks turn into conversations...well just let the Spirit lead you in questions to chat about. Just remember to be humble in your approach (no rude tones) with the right attitude..one that glorifies GOD and not yourself.
Afterall, we are here to bring others to Christ....not chase them away with heated words, anger, and self-righteousness.
A good book to read is "Way of the Master" by Ray Comfort. Check out this website too: http://www.wayofthemaster.com and also check out: www.livingwaters.com
Lord, give me the humbleness in spirit and the courage to approach others. In Christs Name, Amen

Armor of GOD
Have you ever wondered what the weapons are? Your armor of GOD? What should you do to counterattack when Satan attacks you?
This post will go hand in hand with the one I posted earlier titled "overcoming the power of satan".
Your Weapons Are these:
The Blood of Jesus
Prayer
Praise
The Whole Armor of GOD
Speaking the Word
Perserverance
The name of Jesus
Fasting with Prayer
Fasting draws one closer to GOD and we can request strength, healing, guidance and help through prayer with our fasting. Doing without food makes us aware and more conscious of those who go without in life of the necessities we take for granted. In your fast you must surrender your "self" in willing service to GOD and this will prepare the way to engage in spiritual warfare on behalf of others you know who need it. A total fast is no food or water whereas a limited or partial fast is restricting yourself from certain foods. Some fasting scriptures are noted below:
Exodus 34:27-28
1 Samuel 3:30-35
Esther 4:15-17
Ezra 8:21-23
Nehemiah 1:1-11
2 Chronicles 20:1-3
Psalm 35:11-13
Luke 2:37
Matthew 4:1-2
Luke 4:1-2
Acts 9:1-18
Acts 13:1-3
Acts 14:23
Ephesians 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."
The armor of GOD is:
The Belt of Truth-Ephesians 6:14 (this helps bind up so we are not hindered)
The Sword of the Spirit-Ephesians 6:17(read the word of God daily)
The Shoes, preparation of the Gospel of Peace-Ephesians 6:15(walk with God daily)
The Breastplate of Righteousness-Ephesians 6:14(Accepting Christ)
The Shield of Faith-Ephesians 6:16(Believe in God and seek Him faithfully, diligently)
The Helmet of Salvation-Ephesians 6:17(Pray always to protect our minds)
Living as a Spiritual Warrior for GOD requires us to live as Christ did, being obedient to GOD, letting the Holy Spirit convict us daily, daily confessing any sin or wrongdoing, wearing the armor of God, guarding ourselves against evil and its' influences, producing the Fruit of the Spirit, having fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ and to truly forgive all those who have hurt you by their words or actions and to be transformed daily into being like Jesus.
Overcoming the power of Satan
How do we take back what Satan steals from us? Good Question! To be redeemed from the power of Satan we must constantly strengthen ourselves in GOD. If you have not already asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, this will be your first step in overcoming Satan.
Pray this prayer: "Father, come into my heart. Forgive me all my sins and transgressions. I acknowledge You as my God, my Lord and Savior, and that Your son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross and rose again three days later, saving me for an eternal life with you. Give me your heart and strength in my times of need and be with me always. In Christs name, Amen."
You will begin to live as Christ would want you to as He gently convicts you of wrongdoings, sins, pride and the like...you are like a babe learning, it takes time but stay strong and keep your new faith alive, read your bible, pray daily, spend time with GOD as if he is your best friend.
The next step in overcoming is to know your enemy. How do you do this? Know which tactics the enemy, Satan, uses against us..some are so subtle you wouldn't even think he would use them, but he does. And it is for us to know how to defeat him through Christ.
Some of the many things Satan will use against us are: Confusion, Doubt, Strife, Uncertainty, Arguments, Indifference, Callousness, Coldness, Aloofness, Bitterness, Lack of Control, Rage, Anger, Cynicism, Discord.
Bible Verses which you can read and study to help with all of this: I John 2:15-16, James 4:4, Matthew 6:33, Jeremiah 5:21, Ezekiel 12:2, Acts 28:27, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 Luke 8:12-13, Colossians 2:6-7, I Peter 5:8, Revelation 21:4, Romans 7:23-25, Daniel 10:12-13, Exodus 7:11-12
Galatians 5:19-21 "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions and envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of GOD."

At His Feet Like Mary
How awesome it is to sit at our Lord's feet and listen to him! To be still and know Him. To have His words soak deep into our soul drenching us with His love and tender care.
Are you like Mary, who sits at his feet? Or are you a Martha, who is spending her time preparing the meal and cleaning? 9 times out of 10 I am like Martha, always cleaning, cooking, working and taking care of someone who is ill in our home, whether that is my children, myself or my husband.
It seems like I am always on the go, nonstop work, work, work and more work. Even when I am home when illness takes over me or someone in the home...it is constant work!! Dishes to do, Dustbunnies to kill, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, preparing meals, laundry, filing the mountain of paperwork for bills and my job stuff, dog to care for, cats to take care of, fish to feed, friends and neighbors to check on and call...and it goes on and on and on.
But I have noticed a change in the last year or so as I slip out of my Martha mode and slip easier into my Mary mode. Those times I am home caring for someone ill I make a point of picking my bible up before I crawl out of bed in the morning while they are still sleeping and read and pour through my Lord's Holy Word soaking up His love for the day.
My moments as Mary are not as often as I would like them to be for I am a mom, a wife, a career woman, a volunteer, and passionate about my writing (still hoping someday to get a book published as my dream since teenage years is to be an author). So those moments I take as Mary did at Jesus' feet I treasure with every fiber of my being, I store them in my heart, I find comfort in them and I long for more.
Mark 8:36 "What good is it for man to gain the whole world yet forfeit his soul"
This verse calls to me in a way that I want to give up all the worldy stuff and choose instead to sit at my Lord's feet cherishing the time with Him in prayer, reading my bible, and journaling which leads us to a deeper intimacy with our Creator, which is exactly where He calls us to be.
